What’s all this I hear about RBG’s deathbed wish? Seriously? With all the crap they are doing to us, we’re going to criticize them for that? Give me a break.
Suppose Scalia had made a deathbed wish that his replacement wait for the new president. Do you think Obama would have declined to nominate someone? Suppose Scalia had wished that his replacement be Gorsuch. Do you think Obama would have nominated him? Of course not! Deathbed wishes are nothing but wishes, and no one is obligated to carry them out. RBG’s deathbed wish carries no more weight than my wish for the same thing. Let’s stop talking about that and start nailing them for the real shit they are doing. We have a very long list.
